ZODiAC MAGAZiNE: TAURUS SEASON 2025
issue 2 | your go-to guide for living in alignment with the stars ☆
Welcome to the Taurus issue of ZODiAC MAGAZiNE! Each season, I will publish a magazine-style Substack centered around that zodiac sign. You can expect a variety of information–from style to health to tarotscopes–all with the intention of helping you live in alignment with the stars. There’s a lot of content here, so I suggest bookmarking it to revisit throughout the season. As a 5th house Taurus Venus myself, I am so very excited to share this issue with you. Thanks for being here ♡
The transition from Aries season to Taurus season is a major vibe change. Fiery Aries wants to move fast and take action, while earthly Taurus wants to slow down and take a nap. The world will still be there when we wake up, so what’s the rush? Stop and smell the roses. Take the scenic route. Indulge in all the pleasures the world has to offer and savor every last bit.
You likely won’t find Taurus with its head lost in the clouds or swimming around in their feelz. They live in the present moment, right here, right now. As a fixed earth sign, Taurus is grounded in the earthly realm. Taurus is very ~sensual~ and experiences life through its five senses.
Does a particular scent transport you back to a specific memory? Can you still hear the laugh of your first love? What is the softest thing you’ve ever felt? What song is playing in the background of your favorite memory? What was the best meal you’ve ever eaten, and the worst? This is how Taurus relates to the world, draws connections between experiences, and remembers.
Throughout this issue, I try to engage your senses as much as one can through a digital medium. In the spirit of Taurean energy, I hope you take your time with it and enjoy every piece of it. Welcome to Taurus season.

☆ TAURUS SEASON iNS & OUTS ☆
While Aries prioritizes speed and taking action, Taurus prefers to move slowly and more intentionally. If Aries season is about pushing towards your goals, Taurus season is about recovery and finding your footing. That burst of Aries season energy won’t last forever, so Taurus season is the time to stabilize and find your rhythm so you can maintain momentum without burning out.
☆ STYLE ☆
Venus, the planet of beauty and aesthetics, influences your sense of style and how you express yourself through fashion. Your Venus sign can indicate what styles, colors, and fabrics you may be drawn to.
The sign of Taurus is ruled by Venus, meaning Taurus is extremely fashionable and stylish. As an earth sign, Taurus is beautiful in an understated way–their outfits and makeup are often simplistic and emphasize their natural beauty.
Taurus Venus is drawn to luxury and high quality items–they definitely have some investment pieces in their wardrobe. However, Taurus Venus is not frivolous. They don’t purchase luxury items just to own the label. Taurus is a conscious shopper and considers the construction, material, and longevity of each garment. Taurus is practical and resourceful–they will search high and low for the perfect item at just the right price. Don’t even think about scamming or ripping off a Taurus!
Most Taurus placements I know (including myself) are thrift queens and own a mostly second hand wardrobe. Nowadays, they just don’t make clothes like they used to, and vintage is way higher quality!
Taurus’ practicality comes across in their style as well. They love to be comfy and cozy. When they aren’t wearing their investment pieces, you can find them in loungewear and pajamas. Personally, I cannot wear “real clothes” if I’m at home. The thought of wearing jeans in my own home makes me shudder… you will likely find me in cotton sweats/shorts and an oversized t-shirt.
There are so many iconic Taurus Venuses who influenced fashion and style–including Ariana Grande, Lana Del Ray, Alanis Morissette, Ashley Tisdale, Leighton Meester, Liv Tyler, and Jane Russell to name a few. But there is one woman who transcends them all, who was named to the International Best Dressed Hall of Fame and included on the All Time 100 Fashion Icons list, who’s personal style and jewelry have their OWN pages on Wikipedia…

☆ FOOD & DRiNK ☆
Taurus is a huge foodie. From fine dining to home cooked comfort meals, Taurus loves to indulge and savor every single bite! Taurus is also a natural chef and loves to get creative in the kitchen, trusting their intuition and discerning palate to guide them.
Personally, I LOVE to cook and create my own recipes! For this issue, I put a new spin on an old classic: the grilled cheese sandwich.

☆ ART & CULTURE ☆
Ruled by Venus, the planet associated with the arts, Taurus has a rich taste in art and a strong appreciation for creative expression. Taurus loves art of all styles and mediums. Anything beautiful can capture their attention!
Taurus season is a great time to immerse yourself in art and catch inspiration for your next creative project. Luckily for us, the internet makes it easier than ever to enjoy art! Check out these cool resources and games:
Take a virtual tour of the Dali Museum (Salvador Dali was a Taurus, btw!)
Explore and educate yourself on different art movements
Guess the geographical origins of artwork
Guess the artist based on a snippet of their work (not to brag, but I have a perfect score on this one)
☆ TAROTSCOPE ☆
Taurus’ corresponding tarot card is the Hierophant. Traditionally, the Hierophant is depicted as a religious leader and represents established structures (like the church) and traditional values. However, a LOT has changed since the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck was originally conceived in the early 1900s… people do not resonate with the idea of religion in the same way they did one hundred years ago. More people than ever are choosing a path of individualized spirituality, through personalized practices that combine witchcraft, astrology, meditation, tarot, and more. Today, the Hierophant represents spiritual wisdom, specifically the type of wisdom that comes from experience and lessons learned.
Further, the Hierophant can represent a trusted guide or mentor. Consider the role of a Hierophant or religious leader; their purpose is to help you, an earthly being, connect to the divine. Sometimes when this card appears, it is calling you to find a mentor who can help you connect to something that is bigger than yourself. The Hierophant can also represent tradition, whether it is the idea of traditional values and societal norms, or personal, treasured traditions and rituals you practice in your own life.
When I was learning the astrological correspondences to the major arcana, I was really stumped by Taurus being associated with the Hierophant. To understand this connection, we have to consider Taurus’ fixed nature and ruler, Venus. As a fixed sign, Taurus can get stuck in its beliefs and refuse to budge. Venus is all about values. Venus asks… what do you value the most? Where do your morals lie? The Hierophant embodies Taurus’ established ideals and belief system. Both Taurus and the Hierophant are committed to structure and tradition, and they understand the importance of living in alignment with a moral code.
!! Easy Taurus Season “Spread” !!
Shuffle your deck and find the Hierophant card. The card before represents wisdom you have gained and integrated from a past lesson, and the card after represents your next lesson to be learned.
♡ Collective Reading ♡
Seven of Swords: Ugh, this was a tough lesson to learn! The Seven of Swords is about deceit and trickery. Sometimes, you are the victim in the situation. Other times, you may be the villain. The Seven of Swords reminds us that honesty is the best policy. Little white lies, or real big ones, will always come back to bite you. It’s also a reminder that there are no shortcuts in life. Whatever you want is going to require your full effort and integrity. If you skip steps because you are in a rush or don’t want to put in the work, expect to back track and start again from square one.
The Fool: This card is the very first in the tarot deck, symbolizing new beginnings and opportunities. The world is your oyster! This card suggests that you have learned your lesson from the Seven of Swords situation. Regardless of if you were the villain or the victim, you have healed, integrated the lesson, and are ready to take on the next big thing. However, the Fool is, well… foolish. Take this card as encouragement to move forward, but be sure to watch your step. Embody the slow and steady nature of Taurus to ensure you aren’t rushing into a dicey situation. You may also consider finding a mentor, someone with more experience and wisdom, to help guide you through this next chapter or transition.
☆ HEALTH & WELLNESS ☆
Did you know you can use astrology to improve your health and wellness?! Medical astrology is an applied branch of astrology that focuses on all things health: nutrition, movement, disease, ailments, etc. The twelve zodiac signs represent “the where” and are associated with parts of the body, while the planets focus on “the what” and are associated with bodily functions, diseases, ailments, and injury. Medical astrology can be applied to your birth chart to suggest what types of food your body agrees with, the nutrients it craves, the type of exercise you are drawn to, and what diseases, injuries, deficiencies you may be prone to, and much more.
In medical astrology, Taurus rules the throat, neck, thyroid gland, and vocal cords. Taurus also shares rulership of the head with Aries: while Aries rules the upper jaw and teeth, Taurus has custody of the tongue and lower teeth. Taurus also rules the cerebellum, the hindbrain located at the back of the head that plays a crucial role in coordination, balance, and motor learning. And as made apparent throughout this issue, Taurus also rules the five senses.
In short, Taurus is associated with the bodily functions that 1) stabilize–the neck stabilizes the head, the thyroid stabilizes body temperature and metabolism, etc–and 2) enable us to perceive and interact with the world–our vocal chords allow us to communicate, our senses allow us to perceive, our tongue and teeth help us taste, etc.
